ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: This is the most people I've seen in this room for a long time. The notice seems to have gotten people out. Anybody else on this project? We're talking about Chatsworth. MR. LEE VENNE, 2470 Chatsworth Street: Is it possible to delay this vote so that I can talk to the rest of my neighbors? I only moved in last summer and I don't really know my neighbors and I'd like to at least go around - maybe we could sign a petition - I didn't know the cost. I would just like to delay the vote until we talk to some of the neighbors. If the majority goes along with it, then there's nothing I can do about it either. ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: Mr. Venne, this came in on a petition signed by 71%. I hear you saying you're changing your vote, but sitting up here on the Council, we have to assume, by the fact that the other people are not here, that they voted for it and they want it in. I think we have the right to assume that. If they were against it and a lot of people had changed their minds, they would be here t~lling us that. I don't hear that. Anybody else on Chatsworth? We will close the hearing. What does the Council wish to do? Councilman Kehr then introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: Resolution No. 7482 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT NO. P-82-29 AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR UNDER AND PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429 BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a public hearing on the proposed construction of Improvement No. P-82-29 consisting of the installation of bituminous paving, concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances on all that property abutting Chatsworth Street from Brooks Avenue to Transit Avenue, as describeQ in the Notice of Hearing at a cost presently estimated at $43,134.28, and substantially in accordance with the preliminary engineering report as to the feasibil~ty thereof which is now on file in the office of the City Manager; and having considered the views of all interested persons and being fully advised in the premises, the Council does hereby determine and order that said improvement shall be constructed and financed, and special assessments shall be levied therefor, pursuant to said Chapter 429, and that the area proposed to be assessed therefor shall include the -5-
