/~ Extract of Minutes of Meeting of City Council City of Roseville Ramsey County, Minnesota March 14, 1983 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, March 14, 1983, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Johnson and Councilmen Franke and Kehr (Mayor Demos arrived at 8:10 p.m.); and the following was absent: Councilman Curley. Also present were James F. Andre, City Manager; Charles Honchell, City Public Works Director; Doug Strong, City Public Works Department; Robert Bell of Peterson, Bell & Converse, City Attorney; and Peter S. Popovich of Peterson, Popovich, Knutson & Flynn, City Bond Consultant. ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: We'll now go on to Improvement No. P-82-25, Transit Avenue from Brooks Avenue to Chatsworth Street. MR. ANDRE: We have the certificate of mailing and affidavit of publication for this project on file. MR. HONCHELL: This particular project was petitioned for by 65% of the people involved. The existing roadway is approximately 28 feet wide - it varies, depending on where you are. It's near the centerline of the right-of-way except as it approaches Brooks, and then the existing roadway is some- what to the south of the centerline rather than being in the center. Again, it has driveways that vary from being up - approaching 9% - and one driveway on the north side of the road actually drains toward the home. There is one tree that may be impacted as part of this project - it's the only one tonight. The new road would be fairly close to the centerline of the existing pavement.
