EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF I<1EETING OF mE CITY COUNCI L OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, HINNESOTA HELD: May 23, 1983 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall in said City on the 23rd day of May, 1983, at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Kehr, Curley, Franke, Johnson, following were absent: None Johnson and Demos and, the Membe r its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved RESOLUTION NO. 7510 RESOLUTION PROVIDING AN EXCEPTION FROM THE ROSEVILLE POLICE CIVIL SERVICE SYSTEH FOR mE CHIEF AND DEPUTY CHIEF OF POLICE WHEREAS, laws of Minnesota, 1983, 01apter 83, relating to the City of Roseville; providing an exception from the Roseville Poli ce Civil Service System for the Chief and Deputy Chief of Poli ce provides in part as follows: "Section 2. Section 1 is effective the day after compliance with Minnesota Statute Section 645.021, Subdivision 3, by the governing body of the City of Roseville." WHEREAS, Minnesota St atute Section 645.021 requi res approval of a special law by the affected local government. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Roseville, does hereby approve Minnesota law 1983, Chapter 83, and the City Manager is directed to file the required certificate and a certified copy of this resolution with the Minnesota Secretary of State. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Franke , and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: All present. and, the following voted against the same.
