<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD <br />JANUARY 23, 1984 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council <br />of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall <br />in said City on the 23rd day of January, 1984, at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Franke, and Demos <br /> <br />and, the following members were absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Member Curley <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL <br />TO IMPLEMENT THE SOLAR BANK DEFERRED LOAN PROGRAM <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7582 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville, desires to assist families and individuals in <br />making energy improvements for the purpose of increasing the energy efficiency <br />of their homes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used for such <br />purposes, and will contract with the Metropolitan Council to administer these <br />Solar Bank Deferred Loan Funds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has been designated a housing and redevelopment <br />authority pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 473.195 with the powers and duties <br />of a housing and redevelopment authority under the provisions of the Minnesota <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 473.195, the Metropolitan <br />Council must obtain the approval of the governing body of any municipality in which <br />it proposes to implement the Solar Bank Deferred Loan Program. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville hereby authorizes the <br />Metropolitan Council to implement the Solar Bank Deferred Loan Program for the <br />purpose of increasing the energy efficiency of homes in the City of Roseville, and <br />that the City Administrator, James F. Andre, is hereby authorized to enter into any <br />necessary agreement with the Metropolitan Council for operating the program within <br />the City. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br />member Kehr , and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br />favor: All present <br /> <br />and, the following voted against. <br /> <br />None <br />
