He hoped the Commission could follow up on his idea to invite school groups to meet with <br />141 the commission. <br />142 <br />143 Financial Report <br />144 <br />145 City Manager Malinen said the 2012 budget recommended $2,000 for the HRC. <br />146 <br />147 Commissioner Grefenberg asked whether the $334.41 carryover from the 2010 forum was included <br />148 in the $2,250. City Manager Malinen said the city did not roll over unused expenditures so that <br />149 money was part of the $2,250 budget. <br />150 <br />151 Commissioner Grefenberg said the HRC had spent $1,456 of the Bremer Foundation grant which <br />152 expired in June 2011. He also asked for a list of encumbrances, rather than proposed expenditures to <br />153 reflect what was remaining in the budget. <br />154 <br />155 Operations Committee <br />156 <br />157 Chair Singleton ruled that with the absence of Commissioner McKenzie he would proceed with <br />158 motions and recommendations of the Operations Committee. <br />159 <br />160 Motion of the committee that the Data Geeks Committee be renamed to the Demographics and <br />161 Diversity Committee. The duties of the Demographics and Diversity Committee shall include but <br />162 not be limited to: <br />163 Assess and monitor changes in the City of Roseville's population with respect to human <br />164 rights and diversity issues; and <br />165 Monitor and track complaints and reports from the Minnesota Department of Human Rights <br />166 concerning the City of Roseville and report the same to the full Commission. <br />167 Motion of the committee that the Visions of Success Committee be renamed to the Outreach <br />168 Committee. The duties of the Outreach Committee shall include but not be limited to: <br />169 Liaison with other Human Rights Commissions or similar bodies and other Roseville groups <br />170 and neighborhoods regarding human rights and diversity issues that may affect Roseville. <br />171 Assess and report to the Commission other models and programs that may assist the <br />172 Commission in achieving its objectives and goals. <br />173 <br />174 Motion of the committee that the following committees will be standing committees: <br />175 Operations Committee <br />176 o The Operations Committee will assume the standard duties of an executive <br />177 committee in between regularly scheduled Commission meetings. That is, it will <br />178 take action on critical items that cannot wait until the next regularly scheduled <br />179 Commission meeting. This committee will meet at the call of the chair.
