<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br />OF ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA - HELD SEPTEMBER 24, 1984 <br /> <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was duly held at <br />the City Hall in said City on Monday, September 24, 1984 at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Mayor Demos and Councilmembers <br />Curley, Kehr, Franke, and Johnson. <br /> <br />and, the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced and moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7657 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, State law allows cities to make individual decisions <br />about whether to include Columbus Day as an official holiday, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has decided not to include <br />Columbus Day as an official holiday, <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Columbus Day is designated as <br />a regular business day on which official City business may be <br />conducted. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Franke, and upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted in favor of the resolution: <br /> <br />All present. <br /> <br />and, the following voted against: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />WHEREUPON, said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
