<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />v <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in <br />the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the <br />eleventh day of February, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Demos, Franke. <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Demos introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7686 <br /> <br />AGREEMENT WITH METROPOLITAN COUNCIL IN CONJUNCTION WITH LAKE MCCARRONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lake McCarrons in the City of Roseville has been studied and has been <br />found that certain problems exist in the water quality which could be improved <br />by doing upstream improvements; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city has requested and obtained a federal grant for 50 percent of <br />the funds for said lake restoration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the conditions for this grant is the provision of water <br />quality monitoring activities before, during, and after the improvement; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, discussions with the Metropolitan Council indicate that using their <br />staff to assist in such water Quality monitoring is the preferable arrangement; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, they propose to provide these services at a cost of approximately <br />$20,000; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a resolution is hereby adopted <br />authorizing the city to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Council <br />to provide water quality monitoring activities in conjunction with the Lake <br />McCarrons restoration project for an approximate total cost of $20,000. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded <br />by Member Curley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Demos, Franke. <br /> <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared dUly passed and adopted. <br />
