EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * v * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the eleventh day of February, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Demos, Franke. and the following were absent: None. Member Demos introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7686 AGREEMENT WITH METROPOLITAN COUNCIL IN CONJUNCTION WITH LAKE MCCARRONS WHEREAS, Lake McCarrons in the City of Roseville has been studied and has been found that certain problems exist in the water quality which could be improved by doing upstream improvements; and WHEREAS, the city has requested and obtained a federal grant for 50 percent of the funds for said lake restoration; and WHEREAS, one of the conditions for this grant is the provision of water quality monitoring activities before, during, and after the improvement; and WHEREAS, discussions with the Metropolitan Council indicate that using their staff to assist in such water Quality monitoring is the preferable arrangement; and WHEREAS, they propose to provide these services at a cost of approximately $20,000; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a resolution is hereby adopted authorizing the city to enter into an agreement with the Metropolitan Council to provide water quality monitoring activities in conjunction with the Lake McCarrons restoration project for an approximate total cost of $20,000. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Curley and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Demos, Franke. and the following voted against same: None. whereupon said resolution was declared dUly passed and adopted.
