<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was <br />duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, <br />Minnesota on the 25th day of February , 1985 at 7: 30 <br />o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Curley, Franke, Johnson, Kehr and <br />Demos; <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Franke <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7689 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />TO INCREASE THE FEE FOR OFF-SALE LIQUOR LICENSES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is a city of approximately 36,000 <br />people, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has recently begun to issue off-sale liquor <br />licenses, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the current license fee is established by State statute and <br />has been in effect for over 30 years, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, police services are provided to an off-sale liquor <br />establishment to assist in the control of liquor sales, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the cost of providing police services is in excess of the <br />current $250 fee. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville requests the <br />Roseville legislative delegation to jointly support special <br />legislation (S.F. 359 - H.F. 319) enabling the City to establish off- <br />sale license fees in an amount not to exceed $1,000. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to <br />members of the Roseville legislative delegation and the appropriate <br />legislative committees. <br />
