<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was <br />duly held in the City Hall at 2660 civic Center Drive, Roseville, <br />Minnesota on the 25th day of February , 1985 at 7:30 <br />o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Curley, Franke, Johnson, Kehr <br /> <br />and Demos. <br />and the following were absent: None. <br /> <br />Member Franke <br />moved its adoption: <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />7690 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />AUTHORIZING POWERS OF A PORT AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is a city of approximately 36,000 <br />people, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is engaged in an intense effort to <br />redevelop certain areas of the City, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, legislation enabling the City of Roseville to exercise the <br />powers of a port authority may greatly assist in such redevelopment <br />efforts. <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Roseville requests the <br />Roseville legislative delegation to. jointly sponsor and support <br />special legislation which would authorize the City to exercise all the <br />powers of a port authority provided by Minnesota Statute 458 or other <br />laws. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to <br />members of the Roseville legislative delegation and the appropriate <br />legislative committees. <br />
