Mr. Petersen
noted that BWSR had determined that the official closing date for the sixty (60) day comment period was
August 15, 2011, with BWSR rules precluding holding that hearing any sooner than fourteen (14) days
after that official closing date; and/or holding the Hearing any sooner than ten (10) calendar days after
official Board written response to all comments received during that review period. Mr. Petersen advised,
as a result of that timeframe, he had reserved the Roseville City Council Chambers on select dates,
pending the GLWMO Board's approval of a preferred date for that Public Hearing.
Discussion included scheduling of the Hearing; the purpose of the Hearing, officially noticed in the
Official City Newspapers for each respective City, for the GLWMO Board Chair to provide an overview
of the Third Generation Plan and to allow any additional public comment and/or concerns to be aired at
that time.
Motion 11 -06 -10
Member Miller moved, and Member Westerberg seconded approval of Thursday, September 8, 2011
from 6:30 — 8:00 p.m. in the Roseville City Hall Council Chambers for a Public Hearing for the DRAFT
Third Generation Water Management Plan of the GLWMO.
Ayes: 5 Nays: 0 Motion carried.
Action step
Mr. Petersen was directed to ensure that room reservations and logistics were in place for the Public
Hearing; and that proscribed publicity and official notice was provided.
Future Board Meeting Starting Times
Motion 11 -06 -11
Mr. Petersen had provided comment and alternate meeting times to facilitate a request of several recent
attendees from Lake Owasso in making the GLWMO meetings later, or rotating the meeting times, to
accommodate people interested in attending but working during the day and unable to do so. Mr.
Petersen advised that there were logistical issues in the availability of a consistent space for the GLWMO
meetings, with the Willow Room at Roseville City Hall unavailable due to a standing conflict for
Thursday evening meetings. Mr. Petersen noted that the Hawthorne Room at Roseville City Hall also had
some scheduling conflicts.
Members Barrett, Von De Linde and Westerberg expressed their preference for the regular meeting start
time to remain at 4:00 p.m.
7
