<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City <br />Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in <br />the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Friday, the <br />thirty-first day of May, 1985, at 4:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Franke, Johnson, Kehr, Curley and Demos <br /> <br />and the following were absent: None <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7735 <br /> <br />SUPPORT OF E.P.A. LAKE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ON COUNTY DITCH FOUR, <br />OASIS POND, AND LAKE JOSEPHINE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Rice Creek Watershed District has made application to the <br />Enviromental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) for a grant to complete projects <br />in the district which include work on County Ditch Four, Oasis Pond, and Lake <br />Josephine; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this grant is being processed by the Minnesota Pollution Control <br />Agency (P.C.A.); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 31, 1985, the P.C.A. representative stated that all grants <br />would be conditional upon a public boat access being provided on Lake <br />Josephine; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has stated that Lake Josephine is <br />on their list for obtaining a public boat access; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has been studying the matter and had <br />representatives attending several meetings to obtain information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council feels that there are definite storm water related <br />needs within the community that would be greatly improved by these proposed <br />projects; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council supports the <br />improvements on County Ditch Four, Oasis Pond, and Lake Josephine because of <br />their community need. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council supports the concept of <br />a public boat access being provided on Lake Josephine. <br /> <br />The motion was duly seconded by Member Franke, and upon vote being taken thereon, <br />the following voted in favor thereof: Curley, Franke, Johnson, Kehr and Demos, <br />and the following voted against same: None. <br />
