EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Friday, the thirty-first day of May, 1985, at 4:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Franke, Johnson, Kehr, Curley and Demos and the following were absent: None Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7735 SUPPORT OF E.P.A. LAKE IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ON COUNTY DITCH FOUR, OASIS POND, AND LAKE JOSEPHINE WHEREAS, the Rice Creek Watershed District has made application to the Enviromental Protection Agency (E.P.A.) for a grant to complete projects in the district which include work on County Ditch Four, Oasis Pond, and Lake Josephine; and WHEREAS, this grant is being processed by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (P.C.A.); and WHEREAS, on January 31, 1985, the P.C.A. representative stated that all grants would be conditional upon a public boat access being provided on Lake Josephine; and WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has stated that Lake Josephine is on their list for obtaining a public boat access; and WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council has been studying the matter and had representatives attending several meetings to obtain information; and WHEREAS, the City Council feels that there are definite storm water related needs within the community that would be greatly improved by these proposed projects; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council supports the improvements on County Ditch Four, Oasis Pond, and Lake Josephine because of their community need. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council supports the concept of a public boat access being provided on Lake Josephine. The motion was duly seconded by Member Franke, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Curley, Franke, Johnson, Kehr and Demos, and the following voted against same: None.
