These sessions require the assistance of a
facilitator spilled in organizational development and turn building concepts.
Most recently, the City Council has utilized the services of John Buchanon as facilitator for the team building
sessions. Given that there will be a new council member it would be most appropriate to engage a new
facilitator so that all Councihnembers are on the sane basis. This situation has been reviewed with Ma or-
flect John Kysylyezyn. The Mayor -elect and current Councilmembers agree with this approach.
Policy OWective
This activity has become a routine part of the annual Council activity plan and has proven highly beneficial to
the smooth operation of the City Council process.
Staff Recommendation
None
Council Action Requested
Motion to approve the proposal for consulting services with The Brimeyer Group, Inc. for a cost not to
exceed $4,000 from the FY 2000 budget.
