Ed Burrell Finance Director Re: 2000 Utility late Adjustments Sanitary Sewer We have been notified by the Metropolitan Council Environmental Services (MCE that sewer charges to the City of Roseville will decrease in 2000 by 4.5%. This translates to a 3.5 decrease in the City's sewer expense. In keeping with that decrease, staff is recommending that the full decrease be passed back to our sewer users. This means a decrease in the rates of 3.5% for 2000. As can be seen in the prior year summaries, w have been able to keep our op erating co sts and revenues in a fairly good balance as well as maintain a po sitive cash flow position. Based on the projected future financial plans of the M E a we would expect to see no maj increases in the cor ng years. The City of St. Paul has notified us of a proposed 'increase in water rates for 2000 of approMmately 2.1 Below is a summary o the past 4 years including the proj 2000 budget including the expected 2. 1 increase.
