EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City Hall on Monday, the 14' day of February, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION ISO. CITY OF ROSEVILLE,MINNESOTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT WHEREAS, applications are being accepted for Ramsey County's FY2000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Act (HOME) Funds until February 25,2000; and, WHEREAS, City staff has identified a proposed project, within the City of Roseville, to construct a sidewalk on Rice Street between Minnesota Street and County Road B to increase safety and accessibility for residents in the area walking to/from shopping, work and transit; and, WHEREAS, the sidewalk would benefit low/moderate income families living in the multifamily rental units along Rice Street per CDBG policy guidelines; and, WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to ensure adequate project administration; and, WHEREAS, the city certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulations as stated in the contract agreements. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to Ramsey County for CDBG funding on behalf of the City of Roseville as a requirement of submitting a grant application and to execute such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor:
