EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of <br /> the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called and held at the City <br /> Hall on Monday, the 14' day of February, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION ISO. <br /> CITY OF ROSEVILLE,MINNESOTA <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br /> WHEREAS, applications are being accepted for Ramsey County's FY2000 <br /> Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Act <br /> (HOME) Funds until February 25,2000; and, <br /> WHEREAS, City staff has identified a proposed project, within the City of <br /> Roseville, to construct a sidewalk on Rice Street between Minnesota Street and County <br /> Road B to increase safety and accessibility for residents in the area walking to/from <br /> shopping, work and transit; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the sidewalk would benefit low/moderate income families living in <br /> the multifamily rental units along Rice Street per CDBG policy guidelines; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City has the institutional, managerial and financial capability to <br /> ensure adequate project administration; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the city certifies that it will comply with all applicable laws and <br /> regulations as stated in the contract agreements. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby <br /> authorized to apply to Ramsey County for CDBG funding on behalf of the City of <br /> Roseville as a requirement of submitting a grant application and to execute such <br /> agreements as are necessary to implement the project on behalf of the applicant. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by <br /> Council Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in <br /> favor: <br />
