Request For City Council Adl'on <br /> February 22,1 999 <br /> Approval:ent P ® + <br /> CONSENT <br /> Item P <br /> Description: Request for Approval of a Burn it to burn Concordia <br /> Meadows Atrium Association, 1 Avenue <br /> 1.0 Requested Action <br /> 1.1 Concordia Meadows Atrium Townhorne Association is requesting City Council approval <br /> of a burn permit to burn wild growth at their site at 506 Lovell Avenue. <br /> 2.0 Background <br /> 2.1 Concordia Meadows Atrium Townhome Association is requesting a burn permit for the <br /> purpose of burning the wild growth on the perimeter of and adjacent to the storm water <br /> retention pond located at the site. This area has not been designated as a Prairie Grass <br /> restoration area nor does the Association term it as one. <br /> 2.2 In 1997, the Townhome Association requested and were issued a burn permit for this site. <br /> At that time,Applied Ecology,who specializes in conducting burns,were contracted to <br /> conduct the burn. It is the Associations intent to retain the services of Applied Ecology for <br /> the burn again this year. Further,it is the Association's intent to notify the Roseville Fire <br /> Department In advance of the date of this gear's burn. <br /> 2.3 Due to the unpredictable nature of the spring weather} the Association would life the <br /> permit for a time period of two weep,commencing on April 1, 1999 and effective through <br /> April 15, 1999. <br /> 4,0 Staff Recommendation <br /> 4.1 It is the staffs recommendation that the City Council authorize the Fire Marshal to issue <br /> a burn permit to the Concordia Meadows Atrium Townhome Association. The permit <br /> would be for the'eriod of April 1, 1999 through April 15, 1999. The purpose of the permit <br /> is to burn the wild growth around the water retention pond at the Townhome complex <br /> site at 506 Lovell Avenue. <br /> PF3086-R INCA(12/09/98)-Page 1 of 3 <br />
