NO: H-1 <br /> Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br /> &L i5l ��4 Recognitions <br /> Item Description: <br /> Matt D ittber er, Eagle Scout Project <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Matt Dittbenner is a 17 year old Roseville resident who belongs to Boy Scout Troop 31. Matt <br /> approached the Fire Department and asked if it would he possible for hire to organize a group of <br /> volunteers to install and perform routine maintenance on smoke detectors in the homes of Roseville <br /> senior citizens. This is a very worthwhile Eagle Scout project that Matt thought would benefit the <br /> community. Matt submitted to me a very detailed work plan and time schedule describing the pre- <br /> install training and safety measures needed to do the pro'ect. att's goal is to service <br /> approximately 50 senior citizen's hones (new install and/or change batteries) and complete the <br /> project by mid-March. <br /> FI1ANIAL IMPLICATIONS <br /> None. The smoke detectors and batteries will he provided by the Roseville Fire Department. The <br /> Fire Department has a special srnoke detector fund created by community donations. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> None. <br />
