REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> DATE: 1/25/99 <br /> ITEM No: C--2 <br /> pprovah an er Approved: Agenda Section; <br /> CONSENT <br /> Item escription: The City of Roseville is requesting vacation of a wafter main easement <br /> located across Lot 1,Block , Gatea Business Parr PFo . <br /> 1.0 Requested Action <br /> 1.1 The city of Roseville is requesting vacation of a water main easement located across Lot <br /> 1,Bloch 2.Gateway Business Parr(PF3089). The water main located within the easement <br /> has been replaced along the outside boundaries of Bloch 2,Gateway Business Parr and the <br /> easement that is proposed to he vacated is no longer necessary. <br /> 2.0 Background <br /> 2.1 The City of Roseville is requesting the vacation of a 5*water main easement across the <br /> northern portion of Lot 1,Bloch 2,Gateway Business Parr. The water main heated within <br /> this easement has been replaced along the outside boundaries of Block 2, Gateway <br /> Business Parr. These replacement easements were accepted by the Council at the <br /> December 163 1998 regular meeting. Therefore,the easement is no longer necessary. <br /> 2.2 Section 1013.04 outlines the procedure for vacating streets, alleys, and easements. <br /> 3.0 Staff Comment <br /> 3.1 In reviewing this request,staff made the following findings: <br /> The water main located within this easement was relocated in 1997; therefore, the <br /> easement is no longer needed by the City. <br /> 4.0 Staff Recommendation <br /> 4.1 Based on the findings outlined in Section 3.1 of this report,staff recommends approval of <br /> the request for vacation of a 5' water main easement across Lot 1, Bloch 2, Gateway <br /> Business Parr. <br /> 5.0 Planning Commission Recommendations <br /> On January 13, 1999,the Planning Commission held the required hearing and received <br /> comment from the public. The Planning Commission recommended approval of the <br /> proposed vacation(?-o), citing the comments and findings in Section 3 and the <br /> recommendation in Section 4 of this report <br /> PF 089-RCA(1/25/99)-Page 1 of 2 <br />
