The 1997 Legislature approved legislation permitting <br /> Roseville to designate a legal newspaper based on the cost of publishing public notices if,for one <br /> year prior to designation,at least 2517o of the newspaper circulation has been within the Roseville <br /> city limits. The Focus and Review have a circulation of at least 5% in Roseville and were sent <br /> letters requesting the following information: <br /> Cost of one time publication of four samples of past notices <br /> Number of newspapers distributed in Roseville <br /> Percentage of circulation in 1998 within Roseville city limits <br /> Cost of Four Number of Papers Percentage of Circulation <br /> Newspaper Sam0e Notices Distributed in Roseville _ in 1998 Within Roseville <br /> Focus $49.25 113583 7311/6 <br /> Review $64.81 10,495 63 <br /> Financial Implications: <br /> The 1999 budget includes fonds for legal notices. <br /> Reeommendabon: <br /> Rased on the cost of publication, it is recommended the Focus be designated as the legal <br /> newspaper for 1999. <br /> Council Action Requested: <br /> Motion designating the Focus Newspaper as the legal newspaper for the City of Roseville for <br /> 1999. <br />
