NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> ON A PROPOSAL FOR A PRIVATE <br /> SCHOOL FACILITY PROJECT <br /> (CONCORDIA ACADEMY MORMATION/TECHNOLOGY ADDITION) <br /> Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota <br /> (the "City"), will meet at the City Hall, 2660 Civic Center Drive, in the City at 6:30 p.m. on <br /> December 17, 2001, to consider the proposal of either The Lutheran High School Association of <br /> St. Paul or St. Paul Lutheran High School Association d/b/a Concordia Academy, a 501(c)(3) <br /> non-profit Minnesota corporation (the "Corporation") that the City assist in financing a project <br /> hereinafter described by the issuance of private school facility revenue bonds. <br /> Description of Project <br /> To refund an existing mortgage note which financed improvements to the <br /> Corporation's facilities and also to finance an approximately 25,560 square foot <br /> three-level/two-story addition to the east-side of the existing high school building <br /> consisting of an information/technology center to house the existing distance <br /> learning lab, intemet lab, language lab, and the special needs classroom; with <br /> lower level locker rooms; and an elevator, for students in grades 9 through 12. <br /> The addition, like the facilities financed by the obligation to be refunded, is <br /> located at 2400 North Dale Street in the City. <br /> The maximum aggregate estimated principal amount of bonds or other obligations <br /> to be issued to finance this project is $4500,000. The project will be owned and operated by the <br /> Corporation. <br /> The bonds or other obligations if and when issued will not constitute a charge, <br /> lien or encumbrance upon any property of the City except the project, and such bonds or <br /> obligations will not be a charge against the City's general credit or taxing powers but will be <br /> payable from sums to be paid by the Corporation pursuant to a revenue agreement. <br /> A dram copy of the proposed application to the Commissioner of the Department <br /> of Trade and Economic Development, State of Minnesota, for approval of the project, together <br /> with all attachments and exhibits thereto, is available for public inspection during normal <br /> business hours, Monday through Friday, at the City Hall in the City. <br /> At the time and place fixed for the Public Hearing, the City Council of the City <br /> will give all persons who appear at the hearing an opportunity to express their views with respect <br /> to the proposal. In addition, interested persons may file written comments respecting the <br /> proposal with the Manager at or prior to said public hearing. <br /> Dated this 13th day of November, 2001.
