EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, the 13th <br /> day of August, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION <br /> A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ROSELAWN <br /> CEMETERY ALLOWING CONSTRUCTION OF A <br /> CREMATORY FACILITY ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT <br /> 803 LARPENTEUR AVENUE (PF3329) <br /> WHEREAS, an application was submitted by Roselawn Cemetery for consideration of a <br /> Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a 1,800 square foot crematory facility; and <br /> WHEREAS, said application is for property located at 803 Larpenteur Avenue, legally <br /> described as: <br /> A portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the Northwest Quarter <br /> of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 29, Range23, Ramsey County <br /> Minnesota (PID # 142923430001) <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the <br /> conditional use permit request by Roselawn Cemetery and recommended (7-O) approval of the <br /> request, based on the findings in Sections 4 and 5 and the conditions listed in Section 6 (as <br /> modified) of the project report dated July 11,200 1. <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant <br /> Roselawn Cemetery a conditional use permit, based on the findings in Section 4 and 5 of the <br /> project report dated 7/23/01 and subject to the following conditions: <br /> A. The crematory structure must not exceed 30 feet in height above grade (R-1 <br /> building height limit). <br /> B. The structure must be screened from Victoria Street and Larpenteur Avenue with <br /> landscaping, fencing, or a combination thereof. A plan must be submitted with the <br /> building permit application and a landscape bond equal to 150% of the landscape <br /> cost is required. The plan must include implementation strategies to control <br /> ambient noise. <br />
