EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held at the City Hall on Monday, the 13th day of August, 2001, at 6:30 p.m. The following members were present: and the following were absent: Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR ROSELAWN CEMETERY ALLOWING CONSTRUCTION OF A CREMATORY FACILITY ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 803 LARPENTEUR AVENUE (PF3329) WHEREAS, an application was submitted by Roselawn Cemetery for consideration of a Conditional Use Permit to allow the construction of a 1,800 square foot crematory facility; and WHEREAS, said application is for property located at 803 Larpenteur Avenue, legally described as: A portion of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter and the Northwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 29, Range23, Ramsey County Minnesota (PID # 142923430001) WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission held a public hearing regarding the conditional use permit request by Roselawn Cemetery and recommended (7-O) approval of the request, based on the findings in Sections 4 and 5 and the conditions listed in Section 6 (as modified) of the project report dated July 11,200 1. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Roseville City Council, to grant Roselawn Cemetery a conditional use permit, based on the findings in Section 4 and 5 of the project report dated 7/23/01 and subject to the following conditions: A. The crematory structure must not exceed 30 feet in height above grade (R-1 building height limit). B. The structure must be screened from Victoria Street and Larpenteur Avenue with landscaping, fencing, or a combination thereof. A plan must be submitted with the building permit application and a landscape bond equal to 150% of the landscape cost is required. The plan must include implementation strategies to control ambient noise.
