In conjunction with this project} the City of Roseville has <br /> planned a streetsca a improvement that includes the installation of bus shelters} decorative <br /> - <br /> in railings, landscape medians, boulevard plantings and other details which recall the truck <br /> lighting, g , � <br /> farm reenhouse heritage of the corridor. A preliminary design of these improvements was <br /> comp as part art ofthe Larpenteur Avenue Streetscape piaster Plan completed in early 1997. <br /> This mas ter plan was the result of a great deal of input from adjoining property owners as well as <br /> ice representing the Roseville Planning Commission, Roseville City Council, t. Paul <br /> a task fo p . . <br /> Districts 6 and 10, staff`from Roseville, St. Paul, and Ramsey County and adjoining property <br /> owners. Based this preliminary design, the City received a $700,000 I TEA construction <br /> on p <br /> grant. <br /> In order fo r this project to be installed concurrently with Ramseur Counter's roadway project, it i s <br /> � <br /> the City proceed with the reparation of construction plans and specifications. It is <br /> necessary that t y p p <br /> recommended <br /> that Dahl en Shardlow and Uban (ICU), the design firm hired to complete the <br /> streetscape ma ster plan be hired to prepare construction plans and specifications and provide <br /> observation services. 1�ur <br /> constr�cticonstruction rvation servi The o se of t hi s council action is to approve a contract with <br /> p <br /> DU for this work. Attached is a draft agreement which includes the following provisions: <br /> Compensation <br /> Design Development phase $36,000 <br /> Construction Documents phase $465283 <br /> Ridding or Negotiation phase $51152 <br /> Construction phase $15)427 <br /> Reimbursable expenses $8%X00 <br /> Total Compensation $110,3852 <br /> Estimated Construction Costs of$1,218,000 (this was based on the Streetscape piaster Plan) <br />
