<br /> Item Description: Assessable Footage for Cite Project P-97-02 to be assessed in 1998
<br /> Background: On September 14. 1998. a public hearing Neill be held to finalize assessinents for this project.
<br /> Prior to the hearing.each property o-k%mer will receive a legal notice that includes the exact amount of their
<br /> proposed assessment.
<br /> The current assessment tell has been assembled based on a strict interpretation of the cite-s assessment
<br /> police that does not include un assessab le frontage. like the Highway 36 right-of-way- in the calculation of'
<br /> assessments. In the past,the council has revised the assessment roll to include such frontage%vhen the
<br /> amount of unasscssable frontage is relatively high compared to the total project. Recent examples include the
<br /> ounty Road B-2 Frontage Road and Rose Place east of Walnut Street in 1997.
<br /> To avoid confusions it is desirable to minimize changes to the assessment amounts seat with the legal notices.
