ITV OF RO EVILLE <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAVrER 702 <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 702 OF THE CITY CODE E <br /> AMENDING SECTIONS TIO 702.02 and 702.05 ADDING MOTORBOAT RESTRICTIONS TRICTIO O <br /> LADE JOSEPHINE. <br /> The City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, does herehy ordain, <br /> 1. <br /> Section 702.02 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby amended, to read as <br /> follows: <br /> 702.02*; No motorboat shall be operated on <br /> any public waters at a speed greater than is reasonable and <br /> proper having due regard to safety of other- boats and <br /> persons. On Lake Owasso and Lake Josephine, no <br /> motorboat shall be operated at a speed greater than Party <br /> (40) miles per hour. <br /> II. <br /> Section 702.05 of the City Code of the City of Roseville is hereby amended, to <br /> read as follows: <br /> 702.05: LAKE OWASSO AND LAKE JOSEPHINE <br /> RESTRICTIONS: Notwithstanding any other provision of <br /> this Code to the contrary, the following restrictions apply <br /> to the operation and use of motorized watercraft on Lake <br /> Owasso and Labe Josephine: <br /> A: Definitions: The following words and phrases when used <br /> in this ordinance have the meanings set forth in Minn. Stat. <br /> §86B.005-. motorboat, operate, person, slow-no wake and <br /> watercraft. <br /> B: No person shall operate a motorboat or be towed on water <br /> skis or a similar device at greater than a slaw-no wake <br /> speed within 150 feet of shore. Launching or landing a <br /> skier by the most direct route to open water shall be <br /> exempt from this provision. <br /> Persons operating a motorboat, and those being towed on <br /> water skis or a similar device shall, at all times, maintain <br /> an adequate distance (considering speed and conditions) <br />
