Modifications to Roseville Convention and Visitors Bureau Bylaws. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Recently the City Council approved the creation of the Roseville Convention and Visitors <br /> Bureau (CVB) effective ,duly 1, 1998. <br /> The City Attorney's office has recommended certain modifications to the CV13 Bylaws more <br /> consistent with the original intent as established by the City Council. Those changes will <br /> be presented to the City Council for your consideration at the June 22 Council meeting. <br /> POLICY OBJECTIVES <br /> The intent of the city Council is to establish the CV13 initially with a strong presence by the <br /> Cit y Council, gradually permitting the CVB Board to operate as an independent agency. <br /> The City Council would serge on an ongoing basis as the policy body to rate the <br /> effectiveness of GVB activities on the community. <br /> The ro osed changes in the bylaws are to address this general transition and the Foie of <br /> p P <br /> the City Council in ratifying Hotel/Motel Industry Representatives to the Board, <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED- <br /> Motion to approve the modification in the Roseville Convention and Visitors Bureau Bylaws <br /> as p roposed by the City Attorney. <br />
