EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held on the 22nd day of June, 1998, <br /> at 6.-30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> and the following members were absent: <br /> Council Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br /> RESOLUTION NO, <br /> GRANTING A VARIANCE <br /> TO REDUCE THE SIDE YARD SETBACK AT <br /> 1720 CHATSWORTH STREET NORTH <br /> WHEREAS, section 101 2.01E of the Roseville City Code requires a side yard <br /> setback of five feet for platted lets or parcels of record existing on May 21, 1959; and <br /> WHEREAS, Leis Nyman has requested a variance to reduce the north side yard <br /> setback to three feet for the purpose of constructing an eight-foot addition to an attached <br /> single oar garage at 1720 Chatsworth street North; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the <br /> request on Wednesday,nesday, May 27, 1 998, and recor n mended approval of the requested <br /> variance; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation on Monday, ,dune 22, 1998, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council rude the following findings: <br /> 1. section 1012.01(B) of the city Code requires a side yard setback of five fee <br /> for a p arcel existing on May 1, 1 959. the existing house is setback 10 feet <br /> from the north property line. <br /> 26 The substandard width of the lot, the location of the existing house on the <br /> property, and the location of mature trees on the parcel create practical <br /> difficulties for constructing a detached garage on the parcel. <br /> Resolution�-Page 1 of <br />
