C::: C4- Report/Recommendation <br /> Item Description: Roseville Housing Improvement Program <br /> Housing Replacement Program -William/Burke Lot <br /> 1.0 Requested Acton <br /> 1.1 City staff is requesting the approval of the purchase of the tax forfeiture vacant lot <br /> next to 2100 William Street from Ramsey County as part of the implementation of <br /> the Housing Replacement Program under the Roseville Housing Improvement <br /> Program. Roseville Housing Fundy would be used for the purchase and <br /> administrative fees associated with the purchase I approved. <br /> 2.0 BaLk <br /> 2.1 A housing replacement program was established `in 1996 to help the City purchase <br /> outdated or non-code compliant structures that could net be economically <br /> rehabilitated or sold on the open market. The purpose of the program is to replace <br /> deteriorating lower value housing on scattered sites throughout the City with larger, <br /> higher value housing designed for farm it ies. The goal of the p rog rare is to increase <br /> the p roperty value of the home and improve the value and aesthetics of the <br /> neighborhood properties. <br /> 2.2 The tax forfeiture property located at the corner of William and Burke i n Roseville <br /> abuts the home located at 2100 William Street which was purchased by the City <br /> under the Housing Replacement Program. To effectively replace this current home <br /> with a new home the two lots trust be combined. Individually, both lots are too <br /> small to build a new home. <br /> 0 Provertv Facts <br /> 3.1 The tax forfeiture property is 47' x 125 1 vacant land lot on the corner of William <br /> and Burke Streets (reap attached). The size of the lot does not meet the <br /> standards for a buildable lot in the city of Roseville. The property is located in R- <br /> 1 zoning district. <br /> 3.2 Ramsey county offered the property to the City under the tax forfeiture <br /> proceeding.
