This is a reasonable compromise with housing & park if that is necessary. The use of the
Hamline Plaza area is very interesting. What options will current commercial occupants
have to remain in the new space?
■ A good compromise of"yellow" &"blue"if such is requi red,BUT do we want any
commercial retail at Arona site?? &would expect considerable `additional input'' should a
charter school be considered.
■ Not enough for park
Like the clean up of the shopping center
Access roads-concern me
Prefer this plan but would want"swamp"area accentuated for birds&bird watchers
■ Itb time for Hamlin' e Center to get a face lift
■ I like orange plan ok. It would give the city some revenue plus keep some open space.
■ I would like to see Hamline Center redeveloped. It is looking worse&worse.
I believe that either the orange or green project would be very beneficial to the community.
■ It would be wonderful to see a neighborhood school.
Would it ever be possible to convert the Fairview center into a community center and park
and rec since there is a pool, gym& fields already there?
■ Moderately acceptable, housing should be on the south side.
■ 2nd choice but make sure there are enough parking places
■ Like the long range plan of Arona site&Hamline center-connecting the neighborhood
■ If this is to happen prefer the green although it would be hard to displace people living in the
current apartments
Not acceptable!
■ This appears to be most acceptable, the quickest of existing plans
This is ok too
Appendix A- 1 25 of 28
