Manager Reviewed Agenda Section <br /> Organizational <br /> Item Description: Open Government and Disclesure Policies for City Committees., <br /> Associations, and Joint Powers Organizations <br /> _ Background <br /> The Council had asked that staff bring to them an action to he included in the City's fiscal policies <br /> that would clearly reflect the Council's general practice of openness and disclosure to affi l i ated <br /> groups and committees of the City. <br /> At the Apdl 14, 1998 Council work Session, staff presented a proposed fiscal policy, addressing the <br /> need for affiliated city groups, committees, associations, and joint powers groups, to carry out the <br /> Council's practice regarding governmental openness and disclosure. <br /> Financial Implications <br /> There are no specific uncial impacts. <br /> Staff Recommendations <br /> staff is recommending acceptance of the attached open government and fiscal disclosure policy. <br /> Council Action <br /> Motion to approve the attached open Govertunent and Fiscal Disclosure Policy, which extends the <br /> Counts p ast practice of openness to all city affiliated groups, committees, associations, and joint <br /> powers o ons. <br />
