MIN <br /> 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION <br /> 1.1 Roseville Area Schools is requesting approval of a signage plan for Roseville Area <br /> High School at 1240 County Road B2 West. (Continued from January, 1998) <br /> 0 BA OD <br /> 2.1 Roseville Area Schools is requesting approval of an overall signage plan for <br /> Roseville Area High School located at 1240 county Road B2 West. The 48 acre <br /> parcel is designated as School in the Comprehensive Plan and is located in an R1, <br /> Single Family Residential District. Adjacent land uses include love density <br /> residential to the north and west, medium density residential to the east across <br /> Lexington Avenue, and Highway 36 to the south. <br /> 2.2 Roseville Area Schools is proposing to upgrade and unify the signage for Roseville <br /> Area High School. The overall sign package as proposed includes: <br /> 1 a W high - 50 square foot monument sign along County Road B2 West; <br /> 2)two 70 square foot uRoseville Area High School" wall signs on the south side of <br /> the building (visible from Highway 36 West); <br /> p <br /> )three separate facility identification signs above the main doorways identifying the <br /> main entrances for uAdministration," " ymnasiurn," or"Theatre"; and <br /> 4)three 4.5 square foot directional signs on County Road B2 and whhin the parking <br /> lot. <br /> The issues regarding 01 including sign design, message, placement,and size <br /> have not been resolved., however, the other sign issues 02 through 04 have <br /> been reviewed and are ready for approval. <br /> 2.3 Section 1009.0413 of the City Code outlines the signage requirements for <br /> institutional uses. Since these requirements do not adequately address the overall <br /> signage for an institutional campus situation, it has been the City's policy to have <br /> the overall signage plans reviewed and approved by the City Council. <br /> PF2980- RCA(01/1 2/98)-Page 1 of 2 <br />
