A. <br /> Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br /> Consent <br /> Item Description: Authorization to Erect the City of Roseville Tent on City Hall Grounds <br /> to conduct the Summer Theatre Performance "Hello Dolly" from July 5 <br /> through July 23. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> For the past two years the Rosetown Playhouse Community Theatre in cooperation with <br /> Roseville Parks and Recreation has produced an outdoor summer theatre performance. The <br /> 2001 summer performance was held on the East Side of City Hall. The 2002 summer <br /> performance is "Hello Dolly" and it is anticipated that the performance tent will be set up <br /> again on the East Side of City Hall from July 5 through July 23. Staff will work with the <br /> Rosetown Playhouse Committee to be sure all operations are addressed such as: <br /> • Sanitation <br /> • Parking <br /> • On-site supervision <br /> • Security <br /> • Traffic management <br /> • Noise control <br /> POLICY OBJECTIVE <br /> The plans for the summer theatre performance are consistent with other community events <br /> such as those held during Rosefest. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Staff recommends approval of the tent set up on the East Side of City Hall from July 5 though <br /> July 23', 2002 to produce the annual community theatre performance "Hello Dolly". <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Motion authorizing the tent set up on the east side of City Hall from July 5 through July 23d, <br /> for the purpose of producing the community theatre performance "Hello Dolly", with staff <br /> review and approval of the final operations plan. <br />
