Please state your reasons for wanting to serve on this Commission. <br /> I would like to serve on the Planning Commission because it offers me an opp o rtunity be <br /> involved with City planning and policy making on a broader scale. Mv past interests have been <br /> mainly with park and recreation issues and while warping on those. have recognized the many <br /> factors that go into any decision affecting the community. A community should balance <br /> business, residential, recreational} educational and security- needs to develop and maintain a <br /> healthy and viable place to live. I would like to contribute to that effort and devote time to the <br /> many issues that affect all of us in Roseville. <br /> What is your view of the role of this Commission's <br /> The role of the Planning Commission is to address items related to planning and development in <br /> the community. It is an advisory unit to the City Council that uses the City's Comprehensive <br /> Land Use Plan as a guideline for making recommendations concerning land use issues includin�� <br /> specific policies, development plans and planning applications. It is a communication link <br /> between the residents and city government. l oohing at i rid i'vidual needs as xve l l as <br /> community-wide needs.
