REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br /> D A T E: 07/29/02 <br /> ITEM NO: VIII. c. <br /> Department Approval: Agenda Section: <br /> hop CONSENT <br /> Item Description: Request by the B-Dale Club and the City of Roseville for a variance to <br /> Section 1005.01A1 of the Roseville City Code to allow the placement of <br /> a pylon sign at 2100 Dale Street (PF3410). <br /> 1.0 REQUESTED ACTION: <br /> 11 B-Dale Club in cooperation with the City of Roseville has applied for a 30 foot variance <br /> to Section 1005.01 A 1 of the Roseville City Code to allow the installation of a double <br /> pole pylon sign at the property line or an encroachment of 30 feet into the required 30 <br /> foot front yard setback. <br /> PROJECT REVIEW HISTORY <br /> • Application submitted on June 19, 2002 <br /> • Determined complete on June 25, 2002 <br /> • 60-day review deadline on August 24, 2002 <br /> • Staff Review: Approval with conditions -July 10, 2002 <br /> • Planning Commission Recommendation: Approval (6-0), July 10, 2002 <br /> • Anticipated Council Action: Approval, July 29,2002 <br /> 2.0 SUMMARY OF RECOMMENDATIONS: <br /> 2.1 The Community Development Staff recommends approval of the request by the B-Dale <br /> Club for a 30 foot variance allowing the installation of a double pole pylon sign on the <br /> property line adjacent to Dale Street, subject to the conditions indicated in Section 6 of <br /> this project report. <br /> 2.2 After holding the required public hearing the Planning Commission unanimously <br /> recommended approval (6-O). <br /> 3.0 SUGGESTED ACTION: <br /> 3.1 By motion recommend approval (see Section 8 for more detail). <br /> Project information and detailed recommendation on following pages. <br /> PF3410 -RCA 072902 - Page 1 of 4 <br />
