E. p t Approval: City ana Agenda Section: CONSENT'Ite iption: Request for Amendment to Memorandum of Understanding to add additional Satellite Dish by CTV, 934 Woodhill Drive (PF3157) 1,0 REQUESTED ACTION: 1.1 North Suburban Cable TV (CTV) has requested approval of an addition to the Memo of Understanding for uses at their site located at 934 Woodhill Drive. CTV seeks approval from the City to install an additional satellite dish for direct public access to specialized training programs such as fire and police training programs for the cities in their service area. Because the site is a pre-existing use which has a special use permit and four separate users, approval from all four bodies is necessary to add or change the site plan. The three other bodies (School District, ATT Broad band, and Suburban Cable, have agreed that this proposal should be allowed and creates not additional impacts on the site or conflicts with the agreed upon Memo of Understanding.. 12 Specifically, CTV would install one new satellite dish (estimate 5 to 6 feet in diameter) behind and on the west/southwest side of the building adjacent to existing dishes. This dish would be smaller and more technologically advanced than previously installed equipment by either CTV or ATT Broad Band. In addition CTV would install bollards (steel vehicle posts) to prevent vehicles from backing into the dish and building wall. 13 The staff review has found no additional or unique impacts created by the addition of this accessory structure behind the building on the west/southwest side, nor any other impacts from the placement of protective bollards. 2.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL ACTION: By motion, approve the CTV request for the addition to the memorandum of understanding to install one additional smaller dish on the west/southwest side of the building.
