Curti. Carolvn
From:
Sent: Monday, July 15, 2402 1:21 PM
T o: carolyn.curti @ci.roseville.mn.us
Subject: (no subject)
Carolyn,
Roseville does not need nor do Ruth and I support a community center. I have
watched both the Maplewood and Shoreview centers and neither produced as
planners claimed. You'll hear plenty of reasons for not needing one at the
meeting but, basically, Roseville has all the facilities the article in the
Wrap listed. And any center would be accessible and used by a very small
percentage of the residents.
At a council meeting to discuss the oval the consultants told us that even
under the very worst conditions, the oval would make money and not be a drag
on the taxpayers. As you've seen, projections weren't even close.
Forget the community center.
Robert and Ruth Luken
