(In addition to Customer Service Representatives, the Recycling Coordinator will receive a list of <br /> all route supervisors and their corresponding cell telephone numbers. This allows for a direct line <br /> of communication.) <br /> We are committed to servicing our customers with the excellent service they expect. We have the <br /> ability and will provide the City with a list of customer complaints from residents at any time <br /> upon request. We will use this list to make internal improvements and can, if requested, provide <br /> the City with an annual accounting of all complaints and customer comments. <br /> Newsletter. BFI can write, edit, print and deliver to all residents a yearly newsletter. Typically, <br /> the newsletter contains information regarding recycling and garbage collection. Holiday <br /> schedules and any other information can be included. Copies of newsletters used in other <br /> contract cities are available for viewing if desired. <br /> BFI will work with the City in the preparation and distribution of educational materials to insure <br /> accurate information and program directions. BFI will pay for the design and printing of a <br /> curbside program brochure for distribution to all certified RDUs in April of each year during the <br /> term of the contract. BFI and City staff will develop the brochure. BFI will provide and pay for <br /> 10,000 copies of the brochure. The City will be responsible for the cost of mailing the brochure <br /> to all certified RDUs. BFI will also be required to provide annually a one-page flyer and a <br /> collection calendar for the City to distribute to the owners of the MDUs. <br /> BFI shall demonstrate commitment to the promotion of responsible waste management through <br /> participation in community events, for example, by providing collection opportunity for <br /> recyclables at City-wide Cleanup events. <br /> BFI PERSONNEL AND EQUIPMENT <br /> BFI ensures the City that we meet or exceed all existing laws and ordinances set by the State of <br /> Minnesota and local governing bodies. <br /> Vehicle Licensine Requirements; <br /> All collection vehicles used in the collection and transportation of recyclables will be properly <br /> licensed. <br /> Collection Vehicle Euuiurneut_Description: <br /> _ <br /> BFI will use recycling vehicles with 2-sort compartment bodies f or the separation of recyclables. <br /> These compartmentalized bodies serve as the basis for the success of Roseville's commingling <br /> recycling program. The quality of the recyclables is what makes our relationship with the <br /> processors strong. These relationships help us keep long term end markets and it helps us receive <br /> the highest return for our material. <br /> Safety is a very important part of BFI's recycling program. Therefore, all of our trucks are <br /> equipped with the following equipment: <br /> a. Warning flashers <br /> b. First aid kit <br /> C. An approved Dry Chemical fire extinguisher <br /> d. Warning alarms to indicate reverse movement <br /> e. Signs on the vehicles stating "This Vehicle Makes Frequent Stops" <br /> f. A broom and shovel for cleaning up spills <br /> All vehicles are washed and painted on a regular basis to ensure a neat appearance as they drive <br /> through The City of Roseville neighborhoods.
