CITY of ROE ILLE <br /> ORDINANCE NO, <br /> AN* <br /> ORDINANC E <br /> ESTABLIS M NG A LOCAL LO DGING TAX AND ADDING <br /> CHAPTER 1 TO THE CITY CODE OF THE CITY OF ROE ILLE. <br /> The City Council of the it of Roseville, Minnesota, does hereby ordain: <br /> City � <br /> 1. <br /> City bode <br /> of the City of Roseville is hereby amended by adding Chapter 312 <br /> to read, as follows: <br /> 312.016 <br /> As used in this Chapter, the following <br /> words and terms shall have meanings given to them by this <br /> section. <br /> DIRECTOR: The Finance Director of the City. <br /> CITY: The City of Roseville. <br /> LODGING: The furnishing for consideration of lodging by <br /> a hotel, motel, rooming house, tourist court, or resort, <br /> except where such lodging shall be for a continuous period <br /> of thirt y (30) days or more to the same lodger. <br /> OPERATOR: A person who provides lodging to others, or <br /> an y officer} agent or employee of such person. <br /> PERSON: n y individual, corporation, partnership, <br /> association, estate} receiver, trustee, executor, <br /> administrator, g <br /> inistrator assignee, syndicate or any other combination <br /> of individuals. whenever the term "person" is used in any <br /> revision of this Chapter prescribing and imposing a <br /> penalty,nealt the term as applied to a corporation, association, <br /> or p p}artnershi shall mean the officers, or partners thereof <br /> as the case maybe. <br /> RENT: The total consideration valued in money charged <br /> or lodging whether paid in money or otherwise, but shall <br /> f g g <br /> not include'any tr i <br /> harges for servicgs rendered n connection <br /> with furnishing lodging other than the room charge itself. <br /> LODGER: The person obtaining lodging from an operator. <br />
