t a <br /> 1 <br /> Fire Chief Selection <br /> Ste 1: I ication <br /> Candidate submits application and copies of any required certificates. <br /> If the candidate meets the minimum service and education requirements they <br /> progress to step 2. <br /> Step : Portfolio <br /> The candidate submits the following items for a portfolio: <br /> Copy of complete educational background. <br /> Copy of resume, including positions held within the Roseville Fire Department <br /> One page vision statement for future of fire department. <br /> Step : Peer Evaluation <br /> Peer Evaluation is conducted and statistical analysis is performed. <br /> Step 4: Technical Expertise Interview Panel <br /> Panel of outside Fire Chiefs and other experts conduct interview that focuses on <br /> candidate's technical knowledge. Panel scores or ranks candidates based on the <br /> results of the interview. <br /> Step 5: Manaciernent Skills Interview Panel <br /> Department Heads conduct interview that focuses on candidate's management <br /> experience and related skills. Panel also evaluates vision statement for <br /> department. Panel scores or ranks candidates based on the results of the <br /> interview. <br /> Step : City Manager Interview <br /> Results of previous steps are forwarded to City Manger for final consideration. <br />
