City of Roseville <br /> Summary of Housing Programs <br /> Revised. December, 1997 <br /> The City of Roseville has created a number of housing programs to assist residents <br /> purchase and improve owner occupied homes and rental units. The purpose of these <br /> programs is to retain the property value and maintain a high quality of life in Roseville's <br /> residential neighborhoods. Additional information is available from the city of Roseville <br /> Community Development Department. <br /> 1. S ingle-Fa m i Lx.H g are <br /> 1.1 Rambler Redesign Program. This program was created in 1996 to <br /> demonstrate how residents can creatively adapt the design of single family homes to <br /> provide a more flexihie home for the current homeowner and for the future owners. The <br /> City, with support from the City Housing Fund, annually seeks applicants who wish to <br /> participate in the redesign of their home. Up to three homes are chosen and <br /> announced at the Horne and Garden Fair. The chosen homes each demonstrate a <br /> different type of remodeling project, The City provides professional architectural design <br /> assistance from concept to construction drawings, then helps the owners find <br /> contractors, bidding, and offers help to identify the most appropriate types of loan <br /> package from hanks and mortgage companies. The home owners agree to proceed <br /> with the construction, if at all feasible, and to share the progress with the city aria video <br /> tapes and meetings with the Oty Council. A collaborative effort to <br /> publish a hook of designs and reasons to live in (acrd remodel) in the first rim suburbs, <br /> along with St. Louis Park, Richfield, Bloomington, Golden Valley, Roseville, Fridley <br /> New Brighton, and others is underway. oseville's share in the "seed moneys <br /> publication costs will be approximately $5,000 to be funded from the Housing Fund. <br /> 1.2 community Housing Fix-up Fund. This fix-up program is offered <br /> through a partnership of local Roseville harms and the Minnesota dousing Finance <br />
