From the
beginning of the planning process it has always been the intention of Ramsev County to
recycle the aggrecrate From the existing Larpenteur . venue and reuse this augregatc in the
new concrete. The concrete which was removed form the first phase of Larpenteur
Avenue was hauled to and is currently stored at the detention pit.
Because of public concern wh ich has, been raised over the potential crushing Operation,
Ram' sey County has investigated options ror the removal, reuse and replacement of the
concrete on Larpenteur- Avenue. The options are as follows:
OPTION A - Remove and the concrete from Larpenleur Avenue to the detention pit.
Crush the concrete from phase I and the rest of Larpenteur Avenue at the detention pit.
Batch new concrete it the detention pit.
OPTION B - Remove and Haul the concrete Larpcnteur Avenge to another location.
tiic concrete from phase I from the detention pit to another location. Crush the concrete
from both phi a se I and the rest of Larpenteur Avenue at a remote location. B atcli new
concrete at another location.
tlir option, rl icf consiste l of disposing of the existing concrete and using new virgin
materials for new concrete, was considered. This option was dlsrnissed because it does
not provicle recycling and r-case of the existing, good quality materials.
Minn ta's First florae Rule County
printed an rP Wled paper with a nil nImwm al•10%pas t-rUnsu sic rr,ntent
