POLICY OBJECTIVES <br /> The total cost of the 1 998 LELS contract proposal is consistent with other bargaining and <br /> non-bargaining unit groups. The packages before Council this year are the aggregate <br /> range of 3 percent. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS <br /> There are 37 employees in the LEL bargaining unit. 1 998 proposal totals$1,989,938. <br /> The total dollar increase of the package for 1998 is 9,091. This is a 3.06 percent <br /> i <br /> increase. <br /> STAFF I E OM ENDATION <br /> The staff recommends approval of the 1998 Law Enforcement Labor Services provisions <br /> as described above. <br /> COUNCIL ACTIOb REQUESTED <br /> Motion approving the 1998 Lair Enforcement Labor Services contract settlement, an <br /> pR � <br /> authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract incorporating the settlement terms, <br /> subject to approval by the City Attorney. <br /> Attachment: Uniform settlement Form per Minnesota Statute 179A.04.
