This includes City Manager salary <br /> I <br /> nformation to date in relation to other city employees' An average increase of 3.0% is <br /> anticipated for city employees for 1998. <br /> The second indicator is the City Manager's salary in relation to the department heads in <br /> the City. It is important to note that the City Manager salary is only 1.5% higher than <br /> the 1997 salary of the Finance Director. This raises compression issues for the 1998 <br /> salary review of the department heads (see Table Two). Assuming an average merit <br /> increase of 3.0% for 1998, the Finance Directoes salary will exceed the City Manager's <br /> salary by $1,133. <br />
