City Council <br /> FROM: Steve Sarkozy <br /> SUBJECT: PROJECT UPDATE AND MEMORY BANK <br /> The following is provided as a general guide to the Council to identify current and ongoing <br /> -projects, as well as lists of projects which need to be addressed at some point in the future. <br /> This update is divided into three separate components. The first is Major Strategic <br /> Issues—those issues which are major decision points which may be somewhat <br /> controversial. The second category is a list of Ongoing Major Projects which are works <br /> in progress generally involving significant staff resources. The last category is the Memory <br /> Bark--these issues net yet addressed or underway which hear further future sturdy. <br /> Of course, each of these categories has lists which are understood to be incomplete and <br /> which may be added to by circumstances, or members of the Council or staff, as situations <br /> arise. <br /> Mai r Strak9ic Issues: <br /> A. Fire Pension Increase Request—scheduled for discussion at the July o rk session. <br /> B. Fire Administrative Structure—selection process for Fire Chief and Fire Command. <br /> C. OVAL Phase 2 ($500,000 grant, targeted spring of 1998 construction). <br /> Advisory Committee to be formed. <br /> 2. Center City Committee and Community elision process. <br /> 3. Design and construction. <br /> D. Infrastructure Committee—report due at the August work session. <br /> 1. Zuettel property (option expires November, 1997). <br /> 2. Other recommended projects. <br /> E. City Attorney Selection Process—last professional service selection tissue to be <br /> implemented according to Council policy. <br /> F. Phase 11 P IP arly implementation of second phase of P IP to mill and overlay <br /> several badly deteriorated streets due to severe winters. <br /> G. Prepare a new contract/Joint Powers Agreement with Northwest Youth & Family <br /> Services. <br />
