REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION DATE: 11/22/93 <br /> ITEM NO, <br /> Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section, <br /> Reports and Recommendations <br /> Item Description: Survey of Civic Center Site. <br /> Background <br /> The Council f at the November 15 work session, reviewed a proposal for <br /> surveying the portion of the Civic Center site east of Civic Center <br /> Drive. The survey is needed to prepare the final plans for creating <br /> the Crossroads Huh as part of the County Road C Pathway Enhancement <br /> Grant. <br /> At the work session, the Council requested another proposal be obtained <br /> for completing the survey. The following two firms are included in the <br /> City's Consulting Engineer pool: <br /> Firm Proposal <br /> RLK Associates $4r3OO <br /> BRW 41400 <br /> Completing the survey now would not bind the Council to completing the <br /> project next year or to accepting the grant. Regardless of when the <br /> improvements are made, an accurate survey will be required. <br /> Recommendation <br /> It is recommended that RLK Associates he retained to complete a survey <br /> of the Civic Center site east of Civic Center Drive at a cost not to <br /> exceed $4, 300. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Motion authorizing the City Manager to retain RLK Associates to <br /> complete a survey of the Civic Center site east of Civic Center Drive <br /> at a cost not to exceed $4 , 300, to be funded from the 1994 Contingency <br /> Fundf <br />
