October 9 ' 1993 <br /> TO: Steve Sarkozy <br /> FROM: Steve North <br /> SUBJECT: RECYCLING FEE FOR 1994 <br /> Background <br /> The Council, in November, 1992., approved a contract with Super <br /> Cycle for the curbside collection of recyclahles for 1993 and 1994 <br /> at the rate of $2 , 03 per household per month. <br /> Recygling F%gw!be <br /> The recycling fee is Charged as part of the City's utility bill. <br /> The fee for 1993 is $1.45 per household per month, and is charged <br /> to single family, duplex, triplex, fcurpl e , and town homes, all <br /> of which receive curbside collection service. <br /> Financial Implications <br /> Because the contract with Super Cycle of $2 . 03 per household per <br /> month is the same for 1993 and 1994, no increase in the recycling <br /> fee is required. <br /> Recommendation <br /> It is recommended the Council establish a recycling fee of $1,45 <br /> per household per month for 1994. <br />
