<br />EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />AUGUST 12, 1985 <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of August, 1985 at 7:30 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: <br />Kehr, and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Johnson, Demos, Curly and <br />Franke. <br /> <br />Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 7781 <br /> <br />REQUESTING PARTICIPATION IN JOINT COOPERATION <br />AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY REGARDING URBAN COUNTY COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Suburban population now exceeds <br />200,000 people; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the 200,000 figure defines Ramsey County as an urban <br />county for Community Development Block Grant purposes according <br />to HUD; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County suburbs now have the opportunity to <br />participate in the Community Block Grant Program through an urban <br />county entitlement in cooperation with Ramsey County; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest for the City of Roseville to <br />participate in said program for community development purposes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Ramsey County is hereby <br />requested to include the City of Roseville as a participant in <br />its Urban County Community Development Block Grant Program, and <br />the City Manager, James F. Andre, is hereby authorized to enter <br />into any necessary agreement with Ramsey County for operating <br />this program within the City. <br /> <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, <br />this 12th day of August, 1985. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly <br />seconded by member Curley, and upon a vote being taken <br />thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Franke, Johnson, <br />and Demos, and the following voted against the same: None. <br />
