EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE AUGUST 12, 1985 * * * * * * * * * * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of August, 1985 at 7:30 p.m. The following members were present: Kehr, and the following were absent: Johnson, Demos, Curly and Franke. Member Johnson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 7781 REQUESTING PARTICIPATION IN JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY REGARDING URBAN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Suburban population now exceeds 200,000 people; and WHEREAS, the 200,000 figure defines Ramsey County as an urban county for Community Development Block Grant purposes according to HUD; and, WHEREAS, Ramsey County suburbs now have the opportunity to participate in the Community Block Grant Program through an urban county entitlement in cooperation with Ramsey County; and, WHEREAS, it is in the best interest for the City of Roseville to participate in said program for community development purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Ramsey County is hereby requested to include the City of Roseville as a participant in its Urban County Community Development Block Grant Program, and the City Manager, James F. Andre, is hereby authorized to enter into any necessary agreement with Ramsey County for operating this program within the City. Adopted by the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, this 12th day of August, 1985. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by member Curley, and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Franke, Johnson, and Demos, and the following voted against the same: None.
