This will be taken
care of by his insurance company# Mr. Owens would prefer to
use his insurance company rather than an independent testing
company from the City of Roseville
The city staff has contacted Mrs. Owens and has offered an
independent testing service to look at the damages t determine
if they were caused by the equipment operating in the area.
In regards to the assessment, Mr. Owens is on a corner lot that
abuts Woodru f r and SO McCarrons Boulevard and has frontage on
both streetsi ; This property falls under the situation being
bordered by a county road and a city street. The city policy
with this type of arrangement is to assess the property based
on the footage of the- city street with the understanding that
the property will not be assessed for any improvements to the
county road. •Therefore, it is deemed appropriate that this
assessment is in accordance to our policy and should be levied
as proposed.
7. McCarrons Boulevard Mr.
Roberts is contesting the assessment for $3,406.92 for the
street improvements abutting his property. Mr. Roberts has a
large piece of property that fronts McCarrons Street and N.
McCarrons Boulevard. This parcel is approximately 3. 5 acres in
size and has 308 front feet on M. McCarrons Boulevard and
approximately 485 feet on McCarrons Street. We were informed
that this par6el had been subdivided although we were unable to
find any recoids of this subdivision. Based on that
assumption, the property was broken down into three smaller
parcels by which the frontage was determined on McCarrons
Street. This also fell into the oddlot formula and was
calculated based on that situation for the frontage that was
assessed. This parcel will also fall under the new odd-lot
policy, and the assessment will be adjusted accordingly.
b. The ffirst verbal complaint was from Mr. Zeece in regards to the
parcel on Rice street.
