I feel this amount is in excess being that my
driveway has not been returned to its origins[ state.
have a large horseshoe driveway which had been cut off for your street paying
(please refer to photos before and after. As you can see by my photos my blacktop
was at least three inches thick (you only replaced two inches). Other residents had
their driveways returned to their original state by the contractor hired by Roseville--
whether it was asphalt or concrete. In my case this was not done.
am enclosing photos of what took place during the construction period for your
information. I am enclosing two bids I received to have my driveway returned to its
original state. Also please find enclosed a letter from my contractor that affects the
situation.
If I had not sealed these new seams myself by this fall I would have a big mess,
so I had my original man (Modem Roadway) completely redo my whole driveway and it
cost me $700 on 9-1-93, $40 over his 1992 estimate for materials (please find
enclosed).
feel as though I have been treated poorly during this construction and
assessment period and I do feel that the City of Roseville has an obligation to look at
my driveway and remove the cost of replacement from my assessment.
