Most accreditation programs have a <br /> "pool" of persons to be visitors. These persons volunteer and then usually take a <br /> day's trainin g on how to be a visitor. The local agency usually is given opportunity <br /> to indicate their preferences for visitors from a short list of recommended persons. <br /> An effort is made to have visitors come from similar systems, that is, a very large <br /> system administrator normally would not be suggested to go to a very small system. <br /> For initial visits there usuall y are three visitors, but large systems may require more. <br /> � <br /> Visitors for the pilot study are the practitioners on the Committee and 22 persons <br /> Committee from applications.
