Each activity has a variety of scoring and <br /> message requirements. Bids were advertised for a scoring system <br /> similar to the ones at the petit Center in West Allis, Wisconsin <br /> u <br /> and the Metrodome. The features are* <br /> 43 feet long by 11 feet high <br /> color incandescent display system <br /> multiple event s imultaneous usage (scoreboard can he <br /> divided into sections, i.e. four hockey or handy <br /> scoreboards, etc. <br /> �- timing system will connect for instant reporting <br /> i low energy lamp technology <br /> computer message center with latest software <br /> quick display functions <br /> menu guided control system <br /> - 1 different types of results presentation <br /> Bids were advertised -and mailed to six manufactures in the United <br /> States and Europe. one hid was received from Daktronics, Inc. of <br /> Brookings, south Dakota, They are the suppliers for the Olympic <br /> Games. The hid amount is 137F375 <br /> POLICY OBJECTIVE <br /> Bids were advertised and received according to established city <br /> policies and were reviewed by the City Attorney's office. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br /> The City has an offer to finance the scoreboard from the Coca Cola <br /> USA Corporation. Monies received from the Coca Cola contract would <br /> he received over a five year period through the following <br /> $15,000 cash for five years totalling $75,000 <br /> -� preferred vending commission rate netting an additional <br /> $14,000 of concession revenues that was previously not <br /> projected <br />
