EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE I * * * * I * * Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, the twelfth day of August, 1985, at 7:30 o'clock p.m. The following members were present: Kehr, Curley, Johnson, Demos. and the following were absent: Franke Member Curley introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 7784 SPEED LIMITS ON WALNUT STREET FROM COUNTY ROAD C TO THE 1-35W FRONTAGE ROAD WHEREAS, certain roadways within the City of Roseville are on the municipal street system; and WHEREAS, Section 169.14 of the state statutes allow the municipality to set the limit on such roadways; and WHEREAS, traffic studies have been conducted which indicate that the current 30 m.p.h. speed limit should be raised to 40 m.p.h.; and WHEREAS, property owners in the area have requested said increase and speed limit; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That a resolution is hereby adopted establishing Walnut Street from County Road C to the 1-35W Frontage Road as an urban district roadway in the City of Roseville and setting the speed limit on said roadway at 40 m.p.h. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member Kehr and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Kehr, Curley, Johnson and Demos. and the following voted against same: None. whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
